FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is vacation calculated for part-time employees?

What matters is the working days per week, not the daily hours.

What applies if you join in the current year?

For a rough orientation, the claim is calculated here pro rata by month.

Can my employment contract provide for more vacation?

Yes. Many contracts and collective agreements are well above the statutory minimum vacation.

Are sick days deducted from vacation?

No. Proven sick days do not count as vacation taken.

Why is the calculator only an orientation?

Because waiting times, special rules and collective agreements may vary in individual cases.
