FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why aren't grams and ml always the same?

Because every ingredient has a different density. 100 g of water corresponds to approximately 100 ml, but 100 g of flour corresponds to significantly more volume.

How accurate is the conversion?

It is intended as a kitchen guideline. This is usually good enough for cooking and baking, but not for laboratory or nutritional questions.

Why are tablespoons and teaspoons shown additionally?

Many recipes use spoonfuls. So you can see the converted quantity directly in tablespoons and teaspoons.

Which ingredient should I choose?

Always the ingredient that comes closest to your recipe. Different guidelines apply to wheat flour, sugar, butter, honey and oil.

Can I also convert ml into grams?

Yes. The calculator works in both directions and then displays the appropriate spoon values.
