Why may medical dating differ?
Cycle length, ovulation and ultrasound findings may lead to different assessments.
Is the model accurate even with irregular cycles?
Only limited. With irregular cycles the deviation is often larger.
How do I calculate the week of pregnancy if my cycle is irregular?
If your cycle is irregular, the first day of your last period is less meaningful. An ultrasound measurement by a gynecologist usually dates the pregnancy more precisely than the pure calendar calculation.
What does a statement like 12+3 weeks of pregnancy mean?
Pregnancy is counted in weeks and days: 12+3 means 12 completed weeks plus 3 days. In total, a pregnancy lasts around 40 weeks from the last period.
Can the calculator determine gender or exact birthday?
No. The calculator only provides the current week of pregnancy and the calculated due date. Gender and exact birthday cannot be derived from this.
